‘Industrialisation of Fusion’

Commissioned by UKAEA’s “Fusion and Industry Team”, and supporting the creation of the supply chain for the new programmes:

    • STEP (Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production)
    • H3AT (Hydrogen-3 Advanced Technology)
    • MAST-U (The Mega Amp Spherical Tokamak Upgrade)
    • FTF (Fusion Technology Facility)
  • Government has awarded UKAEA’s £86m funding to develop these new programmes
  • A new supply chain is being assembled to deliver the programmes
  • Procurement will be channelled through UKAEA Tier 1 suppliers
  • Ind-Ex has been commissioned by UKAEA to deliver an event to develop engagement (a supply chain pathway)between Tier 4 / SME suppliers and the senior tier organisations.
  • The event will comprise:
    • Presentations – eg How to do business with UKAEA
    • Workshops – Intensive coaching on how to engage with buyers
    • Meet the Buyer – A chance to promote your capabilities in one-to-one discussions with engineers / project managers /procurement professionals
    • Exhibition – A platform for informal face to face discussions with key decision makers
